SleutelbeheerderWhen police raided the luxury Baur au Lac hotel, overlooking Lake Zurich early on Wednesday, it was not the curtain-raiser that Fifa’s Sepp Blatter had in mind for his likely re-election as president of football’s world governing body in two days’ time.
Many view Friday’s election as more of a ceremonial coronation than a democratic ballot, but the dramatic arrest of Fifa officials in their hotel rooms will cast a dark cloud over proceedings.
Suspicion has hung about Fifa for years, and although Mr Blatter is not thought to be implicated in Wednesday’s arrests, one has to wonder – why is he so determined to carry on in the top job?
When the 79-year-old walks out into Zurich’s vast Hallenstadion on Friday for Fifa’s presidential election, he is unlikely to fear any opposition. There are just 209 electors, many of them representing small footballing nations, and Mr Blatter has been cultivating them for years.
After the withdrawal of Luis Figo and Michael van Praag, there is only one man standing against Mr Blatter, Jordan’s Prince Ali Bin al-Hussein, and Mr Hussein will almost certainly not command enough votes to pose any kind of threat.
So barring any unexpected upsets, Mr Blatter will assume an unprecedented fifth four-year term, and in doing so remain in charge of a multibillion-dollar sport.
What drives a man, soon to be 80, and who once promised not to stand for re-election, to so clearly crave another four years in such a high profile, and highly scrutinised, position?
“He clearly considers himself to be the only person capable of running Fifa,” says Roland Buechel, a Swiss member of parliament and campaigner for more transparency at the top of football.
“I assume he wants to die in office”.
Playground king
Mr Blatter was born to a modest family in the alpine town of Visp. Legend has it he was the king of the playground at the local primary school in the 1940s, and the only boy there who possessed a professional-quality football.
After school Mr Blatter followed a not unusual career pattern for a Swiss man in the 1960s and 70s. He did his obligatory service in Switzerland’s militia army, rising to the rank of colonel. While there he made contacts which would serve him later in life.

SleutelbeheerderJa wij geven ons dochtertje van zeven maanden ook vaak avocado. Ze vindt het heerlijk! Ik geef eigenlijk nooit iets uit een potje, maak het vers. Is helemaal niet zoveel werk. Banaan gaat er ook goed in. Mango vindt ze totaal niet lekker. Erg grappig om die voorkeur al te zien!
SleutelbeheerderWat een leuke namen hierboven! Ik ben in maart uitgerekend en we zijn al een beetje aan het zoeken naar namen. We willen niet weten wat het wordt, dus moeten een jongens- en meisjesnaam bedenken.
Meisjesnaam zijn we denk al wel uit! Even kijken of we het na een paar weken nog leuk vinden. Het is de naam Fiene.
Jongensnaam vind ik lastiger. We zoeken een stoere, korte naam. Liefst niet al te bekend, mag wel een beetje. Maar geen top 3 ofzo (zoals Sem, Levi etc).

Ik ben Hetty, 28 jaar oud. We hebben 1 dochtertje Mare van 3 jaar en willen dolgraag een tweede kindje. Vandaar dat ik al even aan het rondkijken ben hier. Het is toch alweer 3,5 jaar geleden dat ik zwanger was! ;-).
Hopelijk heb ik wat aan alle adviezen en wellicht kan ik zelf ook wat nuttig advies geven 😉 Haha.

Raar he dat die zwangerschapssymptomen zo verschillen. Ik was bij de eerst kotsmisselijk en dat al bij 5 weken!! Was een week overtijd en misselijk, dus toen een test gedaan en ja hoor raak. Bij de tweede totaal geen symptomen. Ook niet misselijk geweest ofzo.
Wel later bij beide zwangerschappen erg moe.

SleutelbeheerderIk ben met 5 maanden begonnen met het eerste fruithapje. Wij maken vaak appel, peer, mango en banaan. Onze dochter is er dol op! Hoewel ze een maand later wat moeilijker ging eten. Nu is ze 7 maanden en eet weer goed! oh’ ja Avocado is ook een erg goede!

SleutelbeheerderIk voelde ons jongetje met 17 weken. Ben nu 20 weken zwanger en de bewegingen worden steeds duidelijker! Heerlijk gevoel! Geef toch veel vertrouwen dat het goed zit daar binnen en het is ook erg gezellig! Mijn man voelt het ook sinds 2 weken en geniet er ook echt van! Hij kan niet van mijn buik afblijven.. Haha.

In november plaatste ik het bericht hierboven. Ik begon toen bijna aan de eerste ICSI-behandeling. Helaas is die behandeling toen niet gelukt. Ook de 2e cryo-behandeling mislukte. Maarrrrrr….
In mei dit jaar was de 2e cryo tp raak! Ik ben nu bijna 20 weken zwanger van een jongetje!We zijn dolblij en alles gaat nu goed! Ik wilde dit goede nieuws toch even met jullie delen.
En voor degenen die nog midden in het traject zitten. Blijf volhouden en vertrouwen houden en kijken naar alle positieve verhalen om je heen! Ik duim voor jullie!

Wat een spannende periode! Begrijpelijk dat je nu op elke symptoom aan het letten bent. Dat had ik ook een beetje! Wat betreft het vocht uit je borst. Ik had dat ook, alleen ook elke keer toen ik ongesteld moest worden. Dus het hoeft niet altijd wat te zeggen. Ik wil je niet ontmoedigen hoor! Want toen ik net ontdekte dat ik zwanger was, had ik het ook.
Wat mij wel erg opviel was dat ik wat afweziger was en een soort spierpijn had in mijn buik, terwijl ik niet gesport had.
Veel succes en hopelijk heb je snel positief nieuws! Laat je het dan snel weten?

SleutelbeheerderWat fijn om hier iedereen zijn symptomen te lezen. Ik ben net gestopt met de pil. Moet volgende week ongesteld worden (hopelijk niet) en betrap mezelf erop dat ik toch wel op elke symptoom aan het letten ben. NU AL!! Dat wordt nog wat als we er een half jaar/jaar over doen.
Ben niet misselijk, maar vanochtend kwam er wel wat vocht uit mijn borst. Iemand dat ook gehad?
